High molecular weight sodium hyaluronate 1.1 MDA – (Hyaluronic acid).

High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid – Sodium Hyaluronate with a molecular size of more than 1.1 MDa

Hyaluronic acid (its salt, sodium hyaluronate, is most commonly used) is a natural component of all tissues in the human body. In the skin, it accounts for up to 50% of the volume. Sodium hyaluronate is responsible for binding water through the skin, and thus its firmness, elasticity…. in short, a beautiful appearance. As we age, the concentration of acid in the skin decreases, resulting in sagging skin, wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid in skin care

Hyaluronic acid (here its sodium derivative) has many advantages. The bottom line is that it hydrates the skin, smooths wrinkles and firms the skin.

1. improve hydration

Sodium hyaluronate is hydrophilic, which means it mixes easily with water. When applied topically, it attracts moisture in the skin cells. Reduces dryness and flaking by increasing skin hydration.

2. reduces the appearance of wrinkles

Dry skin makes fine lines and wrinkles more visible. But because sodium hyaluronate hydrates the skin, wrinkles become less visible. In a 2014 Trusted Source survey. formulas with sodium hyaluronate reduced the depth of wrinkles and improved elasticity. Researchers have linked this effect to the moisturizing properties of HA.

3. reduces skin inflammation

Hyaluronic acid and its salts relieve skin inflammation. In a 2013 study. HA sodium cream reduced the symptoms of rosacea in adults. Acne rosacea is an inflammation of the skin that causes redness, burning and nodules. According to research, HA promotes the production of beta-defensin 2 (DEFβ2), a compound that promotes tissue healing. It also controls the activity of inflammatory cells. A 2014 study shows that HA sodium gel improved an inflammatory skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis. In a 2017 case report, HA sodium gel helped heal a recurrent skin ulcer. According to the researchers, this was due to HA’s ability to promote cell proliferation and tissue repair. The increase in DEFβ2 also played an important role. DEFβ2 has antimicrobial activity, which protects wounds from infection.

Sodium hyaluronate is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Hyaluronic acid – how to use

Sodium hyaluronate (a salt of hyaluronic acid) has a molecular size of 1.15 MDa, providing maximum water binding and preparing extremely thick solutions. In aqueous solution, it forms a gel (e.g., 1% HA). You can use it as an additive to masks, tonics, creams, etc.

Remember that when adding to aqueous solutions, the powder will need some time until it dissolves completely.

Preparation of a 1% solution:

Dissolve 1 g of raw material in 99 g of distilled water. Store the whole thing in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Ingredients:

Sodium hyaluronate
